I don’t know about you, but I am an impatient type of person and like things done in my own way and in my own time. Are you waiting for God to answer your prayers right now? Maybe you are not waiting for God, but still things are not happening the way you hoped or expected them to. Does it seem like your hopes and dreams are never going to be fulfilled? Maybe you are waiting to meet ‘Mr Right’ or you are longing to have a child? You want that promotion/job at work or you are desperate to buy your own home? Read more HERE.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.
Are you in a reading rut and need a new Bible Reading plan for 2015? Maybe one that is not 6 chapters a day? Here are some plans to check out and see if you like. Maybe read the Bible chronologically? Enjoy!
Here is a great article that Lisa Ross wrote on the pressures of what the world tells us being contrary to who God says we are.
Lisa says, “In the business world, we’re not assertive enough. Our style is too soft. Our style is too tough. We need to pull this lever, check that box, attend this school, stay late, show up early, not miss that meeting, shake this hand, meet that “important” person. We tune in either purposefully or subliminally to television programs and music that subjugates us and tell us, we need to change, the package we bring is just not enough.” Read the full article HERE.
Encouragement is hard sometimes. We feel like we don’t have the assertiveness or even the right to speak into someones life with an uplifting word or action. But, as we really think about the world, the people around us, the news and what is happening on a daily basis, we can see that we all need a little word or action to help us along the way. Here is a great article about ways to encourage others. Read HERE to get the full list.
I found this story on the web and it so reminded me of a time in Alaska when I was at a Women’s Retreat. We were by the water and we were dismissed to have time to go be with God. As I walked out to the water’s edge God spoke to my heart that day so incredibly that I wept and He lead me to read Psalm 23 simultaneously. He showed me His Grace and His love so amazingly as I looked out at the water and the experienced the breeze and the waves and they settled my soul. Ever since then, water has been such a ministry tool for me – I hope you enjoy this story and find a place of your own where you can be still and God can speak to you this weekend.
The Lord is my shepherd;
I have all that I need.
2 He lets me rest in green meadows;
he leads me beside peaceful streams.
3 He renews my strength.
He guides me along right paths,
bringing honor to his name.
4 Even when I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will not be afraid,
for you are close beside me.
Your rod and your staff
protect and comfort me.
5 You prepare a feast for me
in the presence of my enemies.
You honor me by anointing my head with oil.
My cup overflows with blessings.
6 Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me
all the days of my life,
and I will live in the house of the Lord

Hi ladies (and gentlemen) – here is an article keeping it real when talking about the Proverbs 31 Woman but still sparking us on to be the best women we can be… while reminding us that we can’t do anything apart from having a close, intimate, relationship with God. Here is the article, enjoy!
Learning to drown out the noise and really hear what God is saying to you isn’t always easy but here’s an article by Shelly Esser that will help with the process.
Have a great Labor Day Weekend!
